Course in Permanent Make-Up (Micropigmentation)

All permanent make-up courses are conducted by Suzanna Adamsdotter.

Suzanna is an internationally diplomaed skin therapist and has a long and very successful career as a make-up artist. She started as an artist in 1983 and she has since several times won the Swedish championships. She is also a silver medalist in the international Make-Up contest, held every year.

Beautyprofession Sweden is a clinic recommended by doctors and hospitals both in Sweden and internationally. The clinic also employs doctors who are specialists and who can give advice and more advanced treatments.

Beautyprofession Sweden is a member of SPCP, The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals and American Academy of Micropigmentation.

This course offered by Beautyprofession Sweden is accredited and a student with this diploma can attend international higher educations.

Course is practical and as a student you attend the daily work at the Beautyprofession Swedens clinic and have the opportunity to meet real customers.

Course is 4 days and includes 2 days theory & 2 days practice.

Course starts continously all year exkluding July and December.

Price: SEK 20.000 including materials. (excl vat/moms)

A non refundable deposit of sek 4 000 kr is due one week prior to course start date, deposited on bankgiro: 5414-2930. Resterande kursavgift erlägges vid kursstart.

Beautyprofession Sweden can provide models free of charge for practice if you dont have access to your own. When practicing on your own models they are charged sek 500 for materials.

After successful completion of course the student has the right to apply for membership in American Academy och Micropigmentation and The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals.

- Introduction to micropigmentation

- Benefits and limitations
- Introductions to different types of tools and needles
- Needle sizes and groupings
- Practice with micropigmentation device
- Introduction to the rotary, setup, parts and maintenance of the device
- Practice with synthet skin

Part 2

- Sterilization and sanitation procedures
- Autoclave procedure
- Law and regulations from "hälsovårdsnämnden" and "socialstyrelsen"
- Anatomy of the eye and skin
- Skin diseases, disorders, and medical conditions to be aware of and avoid
- Reviewing health history, client’s informed consent
- Test on sterilization, sanitation, and blood borne pathogens

Part 3

- Color Theory
- Primary & secondary colors
- Learn to mix and change colors
- Different pigment manufacturers & ingredients
- Determine client’s undertone
- Five ways to select the right colors to harmonize with the skin tone
- Blue factor (blue and green tones on lips and eyebrows)
- Fade out, residual changes over time
- Color correction

Part 4

- Facial Morphology
- Analyzing facial shapes and features
- Practice on head forms
- Practice on models

Part 5

- How to set up simple systems in your clinic including forms and filing
- Business and business law, including liability, insurance, and guidelines to becoming an independent contractor
- Marketing and promotions that inexpensively bring clients to you

Part 6

Client consultation and evaluation
- Preparing models for procedures
- Use conventional makeup to review client expectations before procedure
- Pre-and post-care instructions
- Following your clients and touch-up visits
- See an actual client consultation by instructor and perform consultations with and without assistance
- Photographing models during consultation

Techniques and applications
- Patch testing and allergies
- Correct practitioner positioning and posture to ensure safe application
- Pigment acceptance

Part 7

Improve your skills with hands-on practice including:

- Observing instructor’s application, reinforcing the knowledge gained in Sections 1-6
- Hands on practice of brows, eyes and lips on live models
- Testing, course evaluation, graduation, and certificate
